About the event
The Chautauqua will be guest teachers at Joel's monthly Circling Night. Come early to experience Sword Sorcery!
6pm - 7pm: Sword Sorcery (drop in anytime): Sword Sorcery is a movement flow, energy practice and guided journey deep into the esoteric Avalonian origins of sword magic. Summoning vast power from the subtle realms of Faery we receive the gifts of the sacred swords from the Lady of the Lake. Harnessing these mighty forces for the highest and deepest good we step forward on the noble path of the Paladin spiritual knight. Together we set out on a noble quest of awakening through movement, prayer, heart shares, energy work, sound activation, and guided journeying.
7pm - 8pm: Circling (please arrive by 6:45): Interpersonal Meditation is an exercise in communication and empathy. It develops our ability to find what is true for us in the moment, speak it, and listen to others as they do the same. This takes the form of a conversation which happens in either a group or in pairs. The subject of this conversation is the experience of having the conversation--any experiential content that comes up, including thoughts, emotions, mental images, physical sensations, questions, assumptions and judgements can be shared at the speaker’s discretion. Interpersonal Meditation makes the claim that truth, when handled responsibly, is inherently good, and that by simply speaking or embodying what is true for us in relationship with others, good will come of it.
Mobile Monastery Events are offered by donation to give people the opportunity to explore giving resources as a spiritual practice. Dāna is a Buddhist term for the virtue of generosity.
